Igapó açú school
'Brooder' of the Quelônios
Chocadeira dos Quelônios.
Os Quelônios são pequenas tartarugas menores que as tartarugas normais.
Elas são muito comuns na comunidade do Igapó Açú. Para garantir o ecossistema desses animais na região, a comunidade do Igapó Açú criou a Chocadeira, um local onde eles enterram novamente os ovos dos Quelônios que nascem na praia.
O aluno Andrei Batista de Souza nos explica esse processo.
'Brooder' (Incubator) of the Quelônios.
Quelônios are small turtles that are smaller than normal turtles.
They are very common in the community of Igapó Açú. To guarantee the ecosystem of these animals in the region, the community of Igapó Açú created the 'Chocadeira' (Brooder), a place where they once again bury the eggs of the turtles that hatch on the beach.
